Sibelius has an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System covering its laboratory based research and development operations and services to clients, and is in the process of extending the scope of this to cover the development and production operations of its scientifically validated botanical extracts sold into the global health supplements sector. The company operates a cloud based project management system that covers all its work.

To support the expansion of the company’s operations and further development and management of its QMS, the company wishes to recruit a Quality Manager. This important role will cover a diverse range of activities and responsibilities, including:

  • Management and supervision of the operation of the Quality Management System
  • Training and support to staff in implementation and operation of the QMS system
  • Management of the internal audit programme
  • Expansion of the scope of the QMS to include product production
  • Management and coordination of the Project Management system
  • Management of the QC/QA function for all herbal materials from field to final extract
  • Supplier audits
  • To support the senior management team in other ways as required.

Suitable candidates will have:

  • At least 3 years experience of managing an ISO 9001:2015 environment and preferably with experience of developing the system
  • Proven track record in setting a long-term vision on quality, and driving it forwards to improve company performance
  • Background in the pharma, nutraceutical, or botanical industries
  • Strong teamwork and coordination skills
  • Must be self-motivated and adaptable and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Further degree in a scientific field
  • Strong computer skills (MS office)
